Cllr. Michelle Michaelis, Cllr. Jim James, congratulating Mr. Bhoo Patel on his success in stopping Tesco Stores opening another shop in Cardiff North.

The Heath and Birchgrove Focus Team are delighted that Tesco have withdrawn their proposed plans to open an Express Store on Birchgrove Road.

The Focus Team is thankful for the hard work of Bhoo Patel, owner of The Philog Shop, who led the campaign of residents and local businesses to stop Tesco opening another store in our area.

Local campaigner Cllr. Jim James said, "This case shows that if local residents, businesses and councillors work together, we can stop large companies like Tesco."
