New Gates planned for Gabalfa Avenue

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Sat 6th Jan 2007

Local residents are delighted by news that the council are planning to tidy up and install gates on the lane behind 173-195 Gabalfa Avenue.

The Llandaff North Focus Team has been campaigning for gate on Gabalfa Avenue for a number of years.

The Lib Dem scheme will resurface the access and gate off the area, providing keys to residents that need access to the garages. This will prevent unauthorised access to the area - as only people with an interest in the area will be provided with keys.

Local campaigner Ed Bridges said, "The new gates will help to tackle anti-social behaviour and make the area safer for local residents."
