Thumbs Up to Gabalfa Avenue plans!: Cllr. Ann Rowland-James and Ed Bridges are delighted that Cardiff’s Lib Dem council will be spending up to £250,000 improving our area.

Cardiff's Lib Dem Council has approved plans to spend up to £250,000 on the shopping parade at Gabalfa Avenue.

The planned works could include improvements such as enhancing the appearance of shops, addressing disabled access, upgrading parking facilities, tidying rear lanes and removing graffiti.

Cllr. Ann Rowland-James has welcomed the news, saying: "This is a very welcome move by the council, and will mean a much needed revamp of our shopping centre. I have been campaigning for this work ever since I was elected in 2004, and I'm so pleased it's paying off - especially after Labour ignored our area for so long."

Ed Bridges, Lib Dem Assembly candidate for Cardiff North, added: "This work by the council will help breathe new life into Gabalfa Estate. It's wonderful news."
