Cllr Ed Bridges is calling for a new cycle lane on Whitchurch Road

The Gabalfa Liberal Democrat Focus Team has called on Cardiff Council to make cycling improvements to Whitchurch Road.

While there is a length of cycle lane near the Heath pub, there is no cycleway on the approach to the Gabalfa Interchange. Cyclists say this makes it difficult to use the road during rush hour because of the number of cars.

Cllr. Ed Bridges told us: "We're serious about improving local cycling provision to offer an alternative to car use. We hope to make progress on this issue."
