Michelle Miachaelis, Gerald Harris and Jim James are pleased with Lib Dem plans to consult on a possible pedestrian crossing on Pantbach Road.

The Heath Focus Team has successfully lobbied the council for a pedestrian crossing on Pantbach Road.

Consultation has begun for a zebra crossing between the Costcutters store and St. Thomas's Church as part of the 'Safe Routes to Schools' scheme planned for Whitchurch School.

Local Lib Dem councillor, Jim James, said: "We are delighted that this scheme is being brought forward. We have been saying for a long time that a crossing here would be advisable because of the number of pedestrians who cross this busy road every day. It's good that our Lib Dem council is listening and will consult on these plans."
