Action on graffiti

12.00.00am GMT Wed 26th Mar 2008

Liberal Democrats from Heath and Birchgrove have been waging war on graffiti.

Residents in the area had reported an outburst of graffiti, covering walls, telephone boxes, and even vehicles. The police are keen to get photos of the signatures being used in the graffiti so that they can identify those involved.

Cardiff's Lib Dem council is also proposing to bring in a graffiti-busting squad to tackle graffiti right across the city.

Lib Dem campaigner Gwilym Owen said: "Graffiti is a real problem for residents. It is great to see the Lib Dems taking steps to clean up the mess."
