Lib Dems call for clean up at the Oval

2.39.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 5th Feb 2008

The Cyncoed and Lakeside Focus Team are calling for a clean up around Llandennis Road.

The fence between the brook and the Oval was replaced last summer but the litter behind that fence has increased. The Focus Team have asked the council to clear the rubbish from the banks of the Nant Fawr next to Cardiff High School.

Local campaigner Cllr. Kate Lloyd said, "The Nant Fawr is only a small brook and we don't want to see it clogged up with litter."

Local resident Margaret Jones added, "On the other side of the road, the fence near the junction with Lake Road North is broken and continues to be an eyesore. We've asked for this to be replaced and the litter behind it cleaned up."
