4.07.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 21st Dec 2007

The Cynoced and Lakeside Focus Team have asked the council to install double yellow lines on the junction of Bettws-y-Coed Road and Bryngwyn Road.

The council have since inspected the area and found that motorists are parking too close to the junction.

Improving road safety

Local councillor David Rees said, "We hope the new yellow lines will stop motorists from parking on this junction and make it safer for pedestrians."
