Lib Dems select Alex Evans to stand in Pentyrch by-election

Our local champion: Alex Evans will work hard to put the interest of Pentyrch and Gwaeol-Y-Garth residents first.

Cardiff Liberal Democrats have chosen Alex Evans to stand in the Pentyrch byelection.

Alex, is a former Cardiff Councillor and community Councillor in neighbouring Tongwynlais. is active in a number of local community groups in Pentrych.

Alex said "I am delighted to have been selected to stand in Pentyrch. I have been active in the community here for years and want to preserve the villages. I will fight to keep our services, standing up for rural post offices and shops, fighting to keep our green belt and campaigning for better public transport. I am a Councillor who is here to stay, standing up for our area.

Council leader Rodney Berman said, "Alex has a proud record of standing up for local people. I know she will fight to preserve the village character of Pentyrch and Gwaelod-y-Garth. She is well known in the area."
