Improving our area: Local Lib Dem councillors Paul Chaundy and Joseph Carter hope the neighbourhood renewal scheme planned for the area outside the Pentwyn Store will cut down anti-social behaviour.

Cardiff's Liberal Democrat controlled council is consulting residents on plans to regenerate the area around Pentwyn Stores in Bryn Pinwydden.

The area around the shop often attracts anti-social behaviour, so the council is proposing landscaping the area.

The plans include new lights, new litter bins, bollards in front of the parking spaces, resurfaced pavement, and new railings around the shops.

Residents living in the surrounding estates were invited to a community consultation on Monday 14th July.

Local campaigner and Bryn Pinwydden resident, Cllr. Paul Chaundy said, "The neighbourhood renewal work will improve the area around the shop and cut down on anti-social behaviour. I look forward to seeing the project progress."
